Carluccio's

What: Carluccio's

Where: 60 St John's Wood High Street, London NW8 7SH

Review: Carluccio's is an Italian chain restaurant located at the end of the St. John's Wood High Street. It is a great alternative to Bruno's if you're in the mood for pasta. Carluccio's has a great indoor atmosphere, and they also offer outdoor seating when the weather is nice. They have an extensive menu which includes starters, pastas and sandwiches. The service is great, but at times slow so make sure you leave time if you are going for lunch. Don't be fooled when they offer you a bread basket- they will charge you for it.

Fego Caffe

What: Fego Caffe

Where: 64 St John's Wood High Street, London NW8 7SH

Review: Fego is a quaint cafe on St. John's Wood High Street. While sometimes overlooked, Fego offers a great breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. They have a range of foods, including pancakes, grilled Halloumi salads and pizza. Fego is known for their amazing sweet potato fries and truffle fries. While a little expensive, Fego is a great choice of restaurant if you have a free period.

The Bread Shop Company Ltd.

What: The Bread Shop Company Ltd.

Where: 65 St John's Wood High Street, London NW8 7NL

Review: The Bread Shop is located on St. John's Wood High Street. It isn't really a restaurant- but a bakery with sandwiches and other goods. The Bread shop doesn't have many options, but their pizza is very good and is made fresh everyday. They are mostly known for their pastries and their quarkinis, which are a steal at £1.20 for 3. Being so close to school, The Bread Shop is a good option if you're in a hurry.

B98

What: B98

Where: 97 Boundary Road, NW8 0RH

Review: B98 is conveniently located on the edge of St. John's Wood. It is not a far walk from school, which makes it a popular lunch choice for students. They have great burgers that are marked down from £6.95 to £5.50 for lunch. Unfortunately, the restaurant is quite small so take-away is probably preferable. While it is not better than other popular burger joints such as Byron, it is much more accessible from school and a nice change.

Chipotle

What: Chipotle

Where: 101-103 Baker Street, London W1U 6LN

How was it: Chipotle is a Mexican chain restaurant located on Baker Street. Chipotle is not located in St. Johns Wood but it's only a tube stop away. Chipotle offers burritos, tacos and burrito bowls; my personal favourite is a burrito with chicken, which is superb. However, you can create your own burrito, taco or bowl with whatever you want. Students can easily go to Chipotle for lunch and make it back in time for class but it's preferable going when you have a free period.

Bruno's Deli

What: Bruno's Deli

Where: 59A Abbey Road, St. Johns Wood, London NW8 0AD

Review: Bruno's is an Italian deli located towards the edge of Abbey Road. Bruno's is one of my favourite spots for lunch. They have an extensive menu of pastas and sandwiches. Bruno's is a popular choice for lunch among ASL students due to it's close proximity to school. The most in demand dishes are the No.7 sandwich, filled with chicken, mozzarella, salad, mayo and the chicken itself. Their chicken is almost indescribable and it goes great with most of their pastas. Bruno's can get very crowded during lunch and there is limited seating, but regardless it is a fantastic option for lunch.

Panzer's Deli

What: Panzer's

Where: 13-19 Circus Road, St Johns Wood High Street, London NW8 6PB

Review: Panzer's is a delicatessen located on St. Johns Wood High Street. Panzer's is a good choice for lunch for an ASL student. It's close to school, while also being cheap and providing great sandwiches. Panzer's paninis can be filled with anything they have at the deli. However, they don't provide seating so take away is the only option and it can get very busy at lunch.
