Byron Burger

What: Byron Burger

Address: 02 Centre, 255 Finchley Road, London NW3 6LU

Review: Byron is an American style burger chain restaurant. It is very popular, having restaurants located in Picadilly, Soho and Kensington. They have great burgers whether it be regular, chicken or a veggie burger. Their fries and onion rings are amazing and are the perfect compliment to any meal. While being known for their burgers, Byron's milkshakes are very popular, especially their Oreo one. The service and atmosphere is both friendly and welcoming. Byron is a bit of a trek from school and their burgers aren't cheap.

Kamil's

What: Kamil's

Where: 81 Boundary Road, London NW8 0RG

Review: Kamil's is a small Lebanese restaurant located on Boundary Road. It's a good alternative from the food on the high street. Kamil's is limited for lunch dishes as they only have a deal for a shawarma, chips and a drink for £5. However, both their chicken and lamb shawarmas are very flavourful. The service at Kamil's can be very slow at times and they don't always get your orders right.

Mori

What: Mori

Where: 84 St. Johns Wood High Street, London NW8 7SH

Review: Mori is a Japanese chain restaurant located towards the end of St. Johns Wood High Street. Mori is the only place on the High Street that serves sushi, but they also provide other Japanese dishes. Mori is close to school and offers a different cuisine. Sushi is the most popular option on the menu, however there are alternatives, such as curries and soups. It's a little more expensive due to the sushi, but it is a decent option for lunch.

Thai stall at Swiss Cottage Farmer's Market

What: Thai stall at Swiss Cottage Farmer's Market

Where: Swiss Cottage Farmer's Market

Review: This stall has some amazing Thai food, maybe one of the best I've had. It is an outside stall at the Swiss Cottage Farmer's Market where the food is prepared right in front of you. If you're feeling peckish during the wait for your food, their prawn crackers are great to start with-they are free as well. The chicken pad thai is unbelievably good and extremely filling but they do offer a variety of other delicious dishes. The stall is only a bus ride away from school, being located next to Me Love Sushi. It is not the best option during winter, as they don't have any seating, but benches are placed outside in the warmer months.

What: Blenheim Cafe

Address: 9 Blenheim Terrace, St John's Wood, NW8 0EH

Review: Blenheim Cafe is a small cafe located on Blenheim Road, just off of Abbey Road. They offer a variety of sandwiches and salads. Their sandwiches are especially good, whether in a toasted ciabatta or baguette. It is also very quick and a great choice if you are in a hurry. Blenheim has limited seating so take away is the best option, however, overall it is a wonderful option for lunch.

Nando's

What: Nando's

Where: 02 Centre, 255 Finchley Road, London NW3 6LU

How was it: Nando's is a chain restaurant that specialises in grilled chicken, located at the 02 Centre. Nando's is a bit far for students, as it is a bus ride away. Additionally, it's a long wait so take away is the only option. Despite that, they have incredibly tasty chicken whether it be-chicken wings or a half chicken. Also, adding Peri Peri salt to the fries really enhances the flavour, even though it does cost an extra 50p. Nando's is a great choice for lunch when you have the time but it's also fantastic option for dinner.

Review: Harry Morgan's is a New York style deli restaurant on St John's Wood High Street. Best known for their chicken noodle soup they also offer a great range of sandwiches, salads and burgers. They even offer American sodas such as Dr. Pepper and Grape Soda. Unfortunately, everything is a bit overpriced and service can be slow. If you don't have to sit down, they have a take away station attached to the restaurant.

What: Carluccio's

Where: 60 St John's Wood High Street, London NW8 7SH

Review: Carluccio's is an Italian chain restaurant located at the end of the St. John's Wood High Street. It is a great alternative to Bruno's if you're in the mood for pasta. Carluccio's has a great indoor atmosphere, and they also offer outdoor seating when the weather is nice. They have an extensive menu which includes starters, pastas and sandwiches. The service is great, but at times slow so make sure you leave time if you are going for lunch. Don't be fooled when they offer you a bread basket- they will charge you for it.

The Bread Shop Company Ltd.

What: The Bread Shop Company Ltd.

Where: 65 St John's Wood High Street, London NW8 7NL

Review: The Bread Shop is located on St. John's Wood High Street. It isn't really a restaurant- but a bakery with sandwiches and other goods. The Bread shop doesn't have many options, but their pizza is very good and is made fresh everyday. They are mostly known for their pastries and their quarkinis, which are a steal at £1.20 for 3. Being so close to school, The Bread Shop is a good option if you're in a hurry.

What: B98

Where: 97 Boundary Road, NW8 0RH

Review: B98 is conveniently located on the edge of St. John's Wood. It is not a far walk from school, which makes it a popular lunch choice for students. They have great burgers that are marked down from £6.95 to £5.50 for lunch. Unfortunately, the restaurant is quite small so take-away is probably preferable. While it is not better than other popular burger joints such as Byron, it is much more accessible from school and a nice change.

What: Chipotle

Where: 101-103 Baker Street, London W1U 6LN

How was it: Chipotle is a Mexican chain restaurant located on Baker Street. Chipotle is not located in St. Johns Wood but it's only a tube stop away. Chipotle offers burritos, tacos and burrito bowls; my personal favourite is a burrito with chicken, which is superb. However, you can create your own burrito, taco or bowl with whatever you want. Students can easily go to Chipotle for lunch and make it back in time for class but it's preferable going when you have a free period.

Bruno's Deli

What: Bruno's Deli

Where: 59A Abbey Road, St. Johns Wood, London NW8 0AD

Review: Bruno's is an Italian deli located towards the edge of Abbey Road. Bruno's is one of my favourite spots for lunch. They have an extensive menu of pastas and sandwiches. Bruno's is a popular choice for lunch among ASL students due to it's close proximity to school. The most in demand dishes are the No.7 sandwich, filled with chicken, mozzarella, salad, mayo and the chicken itself. Their chicken is almost indescribable and it goes great with most of their pastas. Bruno's can get very crowded during lunch and there is limited seating, but regardless it is a fantastic option for lunch.

What: Panzer's

Where: 13-19 Circus Road, St Johns Wood High Street, London NW8 6PB

Review: Panzer's is a delicatessen located on St. Johns Wood High Street. Panzer's is a good choice for lunch for an ASL student. It's close to school, while also being cheap and providing great sandwiches. Panzer's paninis can be filled with anything they have at the deli. However, they don't provide seating so take away is the only option and it can get very busy at lunch.
